Dekton Marina, made by Cosentino located in Spain, is inspired by the whimsical salt patterns that low tide leaves on the sand and rocks. These delicate white ridges are materialized in an asymmetrical pattern of gray veins on a white base that reinterprets the classic elegance of Carrara marble. This product is available in 2cm and 8mm thickness and a velvet finish. Standard slab size is 56″x126″.
Clean Dekton surfaces with a neutral cleaner or a mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. For stains that harden as they dry, such as food or gum, gently scrape it off the surface with a blade or putty knife and then wipe down with soap and warm water. For metal marks or stubborn items, a glass cooktop cleaner may be used.
Dekton is extremely resistant to large fluctuations in temperature, both to heat and cold. However, it is recommended to always use a trivet as heat could transfer from the hot item to the surface and could cause a burn.
To prolong the use of your knives, always use a cutting board. Cutting directly on Dekton countertops could dull your knives.
